OUR MEREA HOUSE DUPLEX COMMUNITY PROJECT

In the Huntsville/Madison County area, we have many single women and single moms that have walked away from abusive relationships, the sex-trafficking and adult entertainment industry, and addictive situations as well as young women who have decided to keep their baby.  Some of these women have completed crisis care programs through other organizations and now need housing, mentoring, community, and family for themselves and/or their children.

This October, we are breaking ground on the FIRST Merea House duplex home to meet these needs! Our Merea House Duplex Community is one of the first types of communities in our area solely dedicated to meeting the needs of single women and single moms who need a bridge from crisis care to housing and wholeness.

PHASE ONE

Our goal for the first phase of this project is $650,000, but we are believing God for this and so much more!  This first phase will include building of the first duplex home and continued renovations, improvements, and additions to the existing Merea House home and on-site campus host’s home.  Later phases of this project will be to complete two more duplex homes with a possibility of an additional five more.  This would enable us to house up to sixteen single women and single moms in our community development.

The current Merea House home will continue to provide housing for single women that need more support in the beginning of their journey.  It will also serve as our community space for family-oriented gatherings and events, bible studies and mentoring moments with our ladies.
